We are thrilled to announce that Felicia Coalson has been named as a new partner with our firm. Felicia has been with us since 2015 and offers our clients over a decade of experience in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate Litigation. This is a great fit for our closely held business and professional clients as well as key clients in the public and municipal sectors.
Felicia received her law degree in 2000. She was admitted to the Tennessee Bar as well as the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Tennessee later that same year. She is also a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
Although she enjoyed a successful career in Memphis as an Assistant City Attorney, she always had a place in her heart for seniors and the unique issues they face. From asset preservation, distribution, and tax minimization to health and cognitive well-being decisions, she had a deep-rooted desire to help people during these transitional phases of life. So, after returning home to East Tennessee she began her own transition. So, in 2010 she set aside all other areas of practice in favor of Elder Law and Estate Planning.
Now, years later, Felicia has literally helped hundreds of business owners, high net worth individuals, key municipal and corporate personnel, and professionals to establish transitional plans to facilitate their wishes. Additionally, she has administered and helped guide many clients through Probate Proceedings. As she’s fond of saying, “Cohesive estate and elder care planning is the best opportunity you have to make certain your wishes are known, your directives are followed, and the people you love are cared for – so, why wouldn’t you do it?
