Municipal Finance Lawyers in a meeting

Beyond our experience with governmental entities and pension systems, we have extensive experience in public finance and municipal finance law.  Currently, we have participated in over $11.1 billion in public finance transactions.  We are listed as Bond Attorneys in The Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace (the “Red Book”), and our legal opinions have been accepted by all major credit rating agencies, underwriters, and bond insurers.

The history of our public finance practice includes representation of a number of issuers of public and quasi-public debt, representation of regional and national investment banking firms in their underwriting of public finance transactions, and serving as Bond Counsel for municipal and county governments, schools and school districts, and public utilities throughout Tennessee.

We have served as Bond Counsel on issues of Capital Outlay Notes, Tax Anticipation Notes, Limited Tax Bonds, Revenue Bonds, Revenue and Limited Tax Bonds and General Obligation Bonds.  These debt issues have financed a variety of public projects including Schools and other Public Buildings, Penal Facilities, Parking Facilities, Water and Wastewater Collection, Treatment and Distribution Facilities, Roads and Infrastructure, Electrical Distribution Facilities, Conference Centers, Golf Courses, and other Recreational Facilities.
